Was Darren Aronofsky watching this weekend's MTV Movie Awards? We're convinced he must have been, based on the casting of his new film, "Noah."

Deadline is reporting that "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star Logan Lerman and "Romeo and Juliet" leading man Douglas Booth have been added to the upcoming take on the Biblical story. They'll be joining Russell Crowe, who has been cast as the titular character.

Lerman and Booth will be playing Noah's sons Ham and Shem. That means that roles are still open for Noah's wife and enemy.

Crowe's "A Beautiful Mind" costar Jennifer Connelly has been a name we've heard connected to this project for a while now. Deadline confirms that she isn't signed on to the movie, and that the part is still up for grabs. But with that being said, she still could opt to take the role.

There was one point when Liam Neeson's name had been attached to the villain character, but Deadline says that is unfortunately not happening. Now it's anyone's guess who will play the man opposing Noah. To bring it all back to the Movie Awards, maybe Aronofsky is just sick of Neeson and Christopher Nolan playing coy about the former's involvement in "The Dark Knight Rises," and that was exacerbated by the presentation of the movie's footage during the show. Hey, we can dream, right?

The official plot synopsis for "Noah" says it's "a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah's Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood."
