Glamour Magazine's annual Women Of The Year Awards just took place, and even though Lady Gaga ended up being the woman to grace Glamour's cover, she felt it should go to another woman being honored . . . Malala.

"If I could forfeit my Glamour cover I would give it to Malala," Lady Gaga said.

She continued at another venue, "I am very grateful that I was chosen to be on the cover, but I think it's really an important time to look at the sphere of all the women that are being honored tonight. And to turn glamour into something that's not on the outside, but something that's on the inside."

So we went ahead and made Malala a cover girl ourselves (and got creative with some of their stories....) Take a look:

Lady Gaga also took a page from Malala's book of speaking up for causes, and talked about how even though she was honored to be chosen by Glamour, she disagrees with how the magazine photoshopped her cover image. She asked her fans to "fight back against the forces that say you have to be beautiful," and asked magazines to stop with all the airbrushing, saying, "It is fair to write about the change in your magazines. But what I want to see is the change on your covers... When the covers change, that's when culture changes."

In a world where the focus was on empowerment and acheivement, Malala would easily grace the covers of magazines. And I don't know about you, but I'd waaay rather read "50 Proud Feminists Under 50" than the gazillionth article on how to lose such-and-such pounds by such-and-such date.
