If you've ever compared yourself to pics in magazines or movies and then felt bad about yourself, you've got to check out this vid Emmy Rossum is sharing.
The singer and actress Tweeted:
Watch this whenever you feel bad about your body. NOONE is perfect. Not supermodels, not actors, noone. http://t.co/OtDvWqvqat

A lot of people toss around, "Oh, that's photoshopped" when they see magazine pictures, but they might not even realize just how photoshopped the images really are. If you think they're just tweaking a few things on an otherwise "perfect" body, take a look at this.
+ Watch "Body Evolution - Model Before and After."
It's kind of overwhelming to see how much of a change the model undergoes, doncha think? They made her eyes bigger, her limbs longer, and her form slimmer. They even chose to change the color of her skin.
The vid ends by saying, "On December 18, 2011, a global proposal was created to encourage mandatory disclaimers when manipulating bodies in advertising. It's up to you to vote for this proposal. Visit globaldemocracy.com and search idea 9".
If you go there, the site explains, "We all now know that seeing thousands of 'perfect' body types in the mass media is having negative affects on young girls and more. Airbrushing as a practice should be discouraged when it transforms otherwise permanent features on models. A 'mandatory disclaimer' to state that a model has had her physical body manipulated on a computer is a very simple step in the right direction to addressing the harm that we're causing."
Is this a cause you'd like to get involved in? I think Emmy just made a lot more people feel better about themselves and their bodies, and that's no small task in an airbrushed world!
