YouTube parodies and covers of a hit song are nothing new, but this super adorable rendition of "Roar" is sure to warm the heart of Katy Perry, and her famous cat, Kitty Purry. And your corazon too!

In this raw acoustic version of "Roar," Kate Davis plays an upright bass, accompanied by two other musicians one playing a guitar and the other drumming on a makeshift drum with a tambourine. To showcase her talent and the plight of feline friends at the Humane Society of New York, this video puts the caged felines front and center. Davis not only sings for the kittens, but sends a message to us of cats that need a loving home. Cuddly kittens close-ups, stumbling and just being super cute, makes for an awwwww-worthy video.

When this eventually ends up on Katy Perry's radar (We're envisioning Kate meeting Katy on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show.") chances are the avid cat lover will love it, since she has made no secret of her love for cats. Just like Davis, Perry has publicly sang to her 4-legged-friends like Kitty and her other two cats, Krusty and Morrissey. OK, what pet owner doesn't do this?
The pop star has even joked that Kitty is her "company's CEO" as well as her mascot. She even includes Kitty backstage during meet and greets and fan photos. Kitty has made several appearances in Katy's music videos like in "I Kissed a Girl" and the lyric video for "Roar" back in August. Chances are both Kitty and Perry will give it a 4-paws-up when they see it. For ways to show love to kittens, Katy AND Kate-style, take action with the Human Society below!
