Miley Cyrus recently announced that Swede pop duo Icona Pop (and hipster princess Sky Ferreira) will be opening her massive 38-arena North American tour, to support her new album Bangerz. We can totes see these girls getting hijinks on tour together, but before they do, let's take a look at how they're making the world a better place.
+ Miley Supports Marriage Equality
Miley and "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth may have taken a "Wrecking Ball" to their engagement, but hey, so's the nature of young love.
Telling a young person their first love might not last forever is like telling a five-year-old Santa Clause isn't real.
Even though their nuptials never went down, Miley doesn't want that to be the reality for same-sex couples around the country. She's a big supporter of LGBTQ rights, and even had the Human Rights Campaign's marriage equality sign tatted onto one of her fingers back in 2011.
+ Icona Pop Don't Care
Swede female duo Icona Pop broke into the scene with their hit single "I Don't Care." Although the song, with lyrics like "I crashed my car into a ditch an then I let it burn... I don't care, I love it!" may seem like an ode to the dark side of YOLO, it can also be interpreted as a message not to let negative people and circumstances make us unhappy.
