Forbes just released its list of 2013's most powerful celebrities, and leading the pack are Oprah (duh.), Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, Taylor Swift, and Ellen DeGeneres. The female-dominated top 10 is totally awe inspiring, but we'd like to add a few more amazing ladies to the list...

+ Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a 14-year-old Pakistani schoolgirl, and the youngest nominee of a Nobel Peace Prize in history. In 2009, she began writing a blog for the BBC detailing her life under the Taliban rule and her views on promoting girls' education. Last fall, as a result of her activism, she was shot in the head by the Taliban while returning home on a school bus. Malala has since recovered and is now back in school, but there is still much work to be done to protect and educate girls around the world. Malala is calling on everyone to sign a petition asking the United Nations General Assembly to fund new teachers, schools, and books, and to end child labor, child marriage, and child trafficking.

Ya know who the most powerful women in the world are? Moms! Democratic Texas state senator Wendy Davis went from teen mom, to Harvard Law graduate, to the history books a few days ago when she held a filibuster to block Senate Bill 5, legislation that would close many abortion clinics in the state. Wendy stood and spoke for 13 hours, without eating, drinking, or bathroom breaks! The bill was eventually declared dead, while #StandWithWendy trended worldwide.

Sara Blakely, Spanx founder and the youngest female self-made billionaire, is also the first woman to join the Giving Pledge -- Bill Gates and Warren Buffett's initiative to encourage the world's richest people to donate at least half of their wealth to charity. "I have so much gratitude for being a woman in America. I wouldn't have had these opportunities if I wasn't born in the right place at the right time," Blakely said of her good fortune and decision to make the pledge. Yo, Oprah, where you at?!
