Your Blu-ray wish list has just been spoken for.
That's because Warner Bros. has officially announced the collector's set that fans have been eager to get their hands on since early details leaked last week. As you can see in the photo, the package is where the heart of the new extra features lie. The set comes with Hotwheels versions of Batman's three main vehicles: the Tumbler, the Batpod, and the Bat. You'll also get these incredible villain cards from Mondo that feature Scarecrow, Rha's al Ghul, the Joker, Harvey Dent, and Bane.
The first five discs of the set won't be anything wildly different for anyone who has experience with some or all of the previous releases from the series. You'll get the single-disc Blu-ray of "Batman Begins" along with the two-disc editions of "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises." These are hear mostly for those who are missing one or more of the films from their collections or just die hards who want the packaging.
It's the sixth disc that should have Batfans going insane. On it, you'll find a brand new featurette that looks at bringing the trilogy to live and features new interviews from the likes of Guillermo del Toro, Michael Mann, Damon Lindelof, and Zack Snyder. You'll also get to see a conversation between Nolan and "Superman" director Richard Donner, where they'll discuss the struggles of bringing a larger-than-life character to the screen.
"The Dark Knight Trilogy: Collector's Edition Blu-ray" will be available on September 24 with a suggested retail price of $99.97.
