Sarah Silverman is known for her off-brand sense of humor and the way she pushes the envelope when it comes to comedy, but did you also know she's serious about pro-social issues? Sarah can make people laugh, and she can also get people to join her in doing good deeds.
The comedienne Tweeted:
Help Twentywonder on July 13th as they raise funds for the Down syndrome community of LA. More Info at http://t.co/t9qzh4XtfI

TwentyWonder was started by Jim Hodgson, the director of administration and development at Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles (DSALA). This charity/comedy event has only been around a few years, and all proceeds go to help people with Down syndrome who are living in SoCal. Sarah's been involved with this event before (she even called it "the funnest, goodest charity event") and it's good to see she's still out there supporting it! (I mean, "goodest" to see she's still out there.)
If you're unable to attend but would still like to help in this cause, you can totally check out MTV Act's "Four Ways to Take Action on World Down Syndrome Day." Most of the suggested actions there work any day of the year, so you don't have to wait until next March 21 to implement them. And if you're a major Sarah fan, you can also get involved in women's reproductive rights, another issue near and dear to Ms. Silverman's heart. (She has def been keeping close tabs on Wendy Davis and all her fine work for women!) See, Sarah isn't just good at cracking jokes . . . she's goodest at helping others!
