When it comes to the acting world, getting into character can be quite the process! Brad Pitt and Shia Labeouf are diving into new roles as soldiers, and to help evolve into their characters they have both visited the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA!
The two are filming a new movie by the name of "FURY", which is a World War II based film rumored to be coming out November 2014. The film focuses on a group of 5 Americans who are on a dangerous mission in Nazi Germany. Shia even revealed to fans via Vimeo his skills at assembling a machine gun. What a pleasant surprise for these brave soldiers, and some nice eye candy if I do say myself.
A spokesperson for Fort Irwin told Desert Dispatch, "They talked about the mission of the NTC, what those particular soldiers do and the soldiers' experience and background. There was no official meet-and-greet." Although we don't know how long Brad will be on base prepping for the role, Shia revealed on Twitter, "My new home for a month - THE GOWEN FIELDS - US ARMY PREP-Forward Operating Base - #FURY" The movie is lined up with a pretty impressive cast including Michael Pena and Logan Lerman.
Pitt is one busy actor, his upcoming flick "The Counselor", hits theaters in October and stars one of my very faves - Cameron Diaz. Cannot wait to see both of these. PS next time you see one of our service men/women make sure and thank them. So brave.
