Gymnast Jordyn Wieber and Team USA earned the gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics, and now she's showing us she's got a heart of gold as well. She's gotten involved with Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) and had some great pics showing us the work she's doing with them.

The gold medalist from Team USA Tweeted:

Jordyn and K.I.D.S. stopped by The Mickey Mantle School, a Manhattan school that serves severely disabled students up to the age of 14, as part of their commitment to help kids who have been impacted by things like poverty and tragedy. The org, which got up and running in 1985, has helped almost 70 million kids in the 27 years it's been around!

From the looks of her Instagram, a gold medal poster signed by the class and other Olympic-themed decorations serve as a backdrop to Jordyn handing out teddy bears with golden bows! But of course, getting to see Jordyn is a gift in itself, am I right?

The good news is that you don't have to be a famous celeb or Olympian like Jordyn to help out K.I.D.S. You can volunteer or fundraise, too! In fact, if you're in grades 7 or up, or in college, you can get involved as a student ambassador. There are lots of different ways to join Jordyn in helping the K.I.D.S. kids. And that's going for the gold!
