The songstress who lives and breathes rainbows, kittens, fireworks and candy coated dreams Tweeted beforehand:

It was going to be a big night for Katy, who was the Trevor Hero Award Honoree! The Trevor 2020 Award Honoree, which has gone to MTV in the past, went to Audi yesterday.
But Katy wasn't the only big name at the event. "So You Think You Can Dance" judge Adam Shankman was the special guest director, and there were performances by "Glee's" Naya Rivera, "American Idol's" Jessica Sanchez and Kristin Chenoweth from the Broadway hit "Wicked." On top of that, there were appearances by Chris Colfer, Sarah Hyland, Zoe Saldana, Brittany Snow and more. The band fun. wasn't there but they tweeted out their feelings of FOMO:

The Trevor Project has been saving lives since 1998, and if you're an LGBTQ youth feeling sad, scared or alone, know that The Trevor Project offers help 24/7. And remember, like Katy's sign says, "Be proud of who you are."
