It's time to sing "Happy Birthday" to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation! Nope, not to Ryan himself, but to his foundation, which is turning one year old this week. Selena Gomez is one of the foundation's star-studded supporters (other big names include Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Selena's own BF, Justin Bieber) and she's up for some celebrations.
Selena gave this shoutout on Twitter:
Happy BDay to the @RyanFoundation at @ChildrensPhila! The studio is 1 yr old! Congrats to @Ryanseacrest's... fb.me/1LXTDlrRy

Ryan Seacrest is the founder and chairman of the org, and he got it started to help out kids dealing with really serious illnesses and injuries. But the way he's helping is pretty cool and unique: he wants to bring out "programs that utilize multimedia and interactive platforms to enlighten, entertain and educate."
So what does that mean? Well, for one thing, it means Ryan is building broadcast media centers inside hospitals, like stuff for radio and television. In other words, it lets hospitalized kids become creative with multimedia, and the idea is to help them have fun and express themselves. This can help them get better and make their time in the hospital much more bearable.
So Selena totally digs this org, but she isn't some outside admirer. She was the very first charity ambassador for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation -- not bad for someone who's also an ambassador for UNICEF!
And, hey, Selena's 20th birthday is coming up on Sunday, so does that mean the Ryan Seacrest Foundation will return the favor and send out a birthday Tweet for her?
