Back in the day -- OK, more like 2010 -- Fifty Cent was one of hip hop's hottest...messes. His homophobic Twitter rants, nasty public beefs and general foot-in-mouth syndrome were overshadowing his beats in a bad way. But in the last year, the hot-headed rapper has iced out that lame-o macho routine while heating up his humanitarian side – most recently on display with his thoughtful remarks about Frank Ocean. Is Fiddy a new man?
Let's look at the latest evidence. When asked by MTV UK about Frank Ocean's headline-grabbing announcement that he was once in love with another man, the G Unit CEO showed real acceptance for a fellow musician: "Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot. I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he's created material that made me know his name, that impressed me, with things he said on a song like 'Novacane.'"

Well daaaang. That doesn't sound AT ALL like the same dude who flooded his feed with insensitive remarks that unanimously pissed off the LGBT community. Let's not forget his highly publicized beefs with several fellow rappers like Rick Ross and The Game.
BUT...there are other signs that point to the MC mogul's new look on life: the launch of his hunger-fighting Street King Energy Shot that gave 3.5 million meals to African children (and he's aiming to feed 1 billion kids) , the release of his semi-autobiographical anti-bullying YA novel, his support for same sex marriage, and all those sweet tweets for the causes he champions.
And did y'all see Fitty on Oprah's Next Chapter? He talked to O about fighting hunger in Africa. "Something's happening to him. He's shifting. It is no small thing to go to Africa," said Oprah about Fifty's charity work and how he's changed as a person.
Has Curtis Jackson totally changed his loudmouth, abrasive ways? Has he stepped up his do-good game? Are you loving him now more than ever just like Oprah? Hit up the poll below and take Action to show your support for Fiddy's fight hunger crusade.
