Yesterday Heidi Klum wasn't busy hosting "Project Runway" -- though she recently celebrated the show's 10th anniversary! But I digress. Heidi spent her Monday feeding those in need. She rolled up her sleeves and helped deliver food with God's Love We Deliver, a New York City org that delivers healthy meals to people living with serious illnesses like AIDS or cancer.

Sometimes people are too ill to go out and get the food they need, so that's where God's Love We Deliver comes in. And the org, which has been around since the 80s, was tickled to have the world-famous model there. What do you think it was like for the people receiving meals to open their door and see the gorge Heidi Klum standing there?

Heidi was def. really into her do-gooder mission, and she gave an inspirational Tweet plus a pic:

On top of that, if you head on over to Heidi's website, you can see a short vid of her AND Tim Gunn working with the volunteers of God's Love We Deliver. The clip also supplies some fun facts, like how more than 4,000 meals are delivered per day. The people who receive the meals don't have to pay anything, and the org thrives on volunteer work. And, hey, if you live in New York City or someplace nearby and want to help cook, deliver, etc., you ought to check this out. As Heidi says, it's important to give back to the community. And, as an added bonus, you just might kick it with Heidi and whip up meals with her. Even Tim Gunn would approve of this.
