For a breakout whose success stems largely from the Marvel Universe, Chris Hemsworth has landed a number of high profile roles outside the world of capes and mystical hammers. The latest could be with one of the biggest directors of all time.
According to Deadline, Steven Spielberg wants Hemsworth to face the "Robopocalypse," the director's next project after this fall's "Lincoln."
The project comes from the novel by Daniel H. Wilson and a script by "Cabin in the Woods" director Drew Goddard.
Deadline didn't specify what role Hemsworth would be taking on, other than it would be the lead in the thriller about, well, the robot apocalypse.
This is all well and good—we love seeing Hemsworth getting more work—but when are we going to see some footage from "Lincoln"? Yes, the corpse of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is still festering in our minds, but, Steve, it's time. Let us see some Daniel Day Lincoln!
