The tragic events in Aurora, Colorado are incomprehensible with SO many questions rushing through our heads. But we've been feeling hopeful by all the good that has come out of such a dark situation. The courage many went to save others is audacious beyond words, and to the 12 who passed on, they will not be forgotten. Warner Bros. (the production company behind 'The Dark Knight Rises") donated a rumored 1 million dollars to Colorado's Giving First, which is working to provide counseling and emergency funds to victims. We all might not have a milli to donate but there are other ways to give back to Aurora. From using a hashtag on Twitter to reblogging photos on Tumblr, here are five ways to show that you care.
+ Raise funds for one of the victims! Jessica Redfield was an aspiring sports journalist pursuing her lifelong dreams. Sadly, on the early morning of July 20, Jessica, 24, was one of the 12 who unfortunately lost her life. In honor of Jessica's life her family has launched the Jessica RedField Sports Journalism Fund. The money raised will be used to help send other budding sports journalist to college. Also, you can follow @JRGfoundation on Twitter to follow their latest developments.
+ Find a local Colorado charity to support! Giving First which is based in Arvada, CO, is focused on supporting and raising funds for Colorado non-profits. It's an easy way to help out: You can donate to an array of services for the victims from blood centers to mental health services.
+ Tweet with the hashtag #PrayForAurora. Give your fingers a good exercise and Tweet away! We all know how powerful social media can be. One Tweet can be Re-tweeted and thus continues the domino effect. Booya! So use the hashtag #Pray4Aurora. Aurora needs all the love they can get. #YouKnowWeWillBeTweetin
+ Reblog the photos on Tumblr of Christian Bale visiting a hospital. What a noble guy Christian is and just...so selfless. Batman represent! Christian wasn't the only one who visited patients. Many players of the Denver Broncos took time to visit with the victims. We just love this so much! So heartwarming.
+ Follow @redcrossdenver for updates on the victims. A very reliable and totally easy way to stay informed on the victims and what their needs are. If you have a few dollars, Red Cross Denver is another great org to donate to.
