A teaser for Ang Lee's "Life of Pi" played in front of another big 3-D release, "Prometheus," but now a full-length trailer has debuted online (via The Playlist), bringing the buzzed-about visuals to your computer screen.
"Life of Pi" will be Lee's first film since 2009, when "Taking Woodstock" largely underwhelmed, not finding the same critical praise as his previous English language film, "Brokeback Mountain." As apparent in the trailer, the movie will focus heavily on visuals and non-verbal storytelling, likely because one of the main characters is a tiger.

Based on the best-selling book by Yann Mantel, "Life of Pi" tells the story of a boy who survives for over half a year stranded in the Pacific Ocean after a shipwreck. Also, there's a tiger. The Wilson to Pi's Tom Hanks is Richard Parker, a Bengal tiger that stows away on his lifeboat.
We'll assume that the YouTube version of the trailer isn't doing justice to the 3-D, CGI-heavy visuals. When some footage screened at CinemaCon earlier this year, bloggers emerged screaming "BEST PICTURE!" While more than a little premature, "Life of Pi" certainly has the look of a nominee.
