Kelly Clarkson's song "Stronger" is an inspiration to listeners all over the globe, and some young patients, parents and medical staff at the Seattle Children's Hospital used the upbeat pop song as a way to show how strong they are. They made a quality video lip syncing and dancing to Kelly's song, and the video has since gotten close to 2 milli views!
The idea of creating this video came from 22-year-old cancer patient Chris Rumble. A lot of the people in the video are younger than 22, sometimes much younger, but they're all showing their bravery and determination. It's hard not to shed one tear as you're watching these intrepid kids.
Kelly was one of the millions who has watched the video. She was unbelievably touched and set up a video response to the hospital so she could talk to the patients and staff. You can see what Kelly had to say, as well as reactions from the young patients. Honestly, if you weren't a fan of Kell before you will be NOW. Trust.
"Thank you so much for sharing it [the video] with us," she said. "I just can't wait to meet you. I think that was the coolest thing to be able to watch. And I'm not going to cry because I have to go perform right now, but it was just so beautiful."
From what she's saying, it sounds as if she'll be doing more than just a video conference. Will Kelly be meeting the kids in person? And, hey, her show "Duets" is debuting next week, so has anyone thought about the Seattle Children's Hospital patients performing with her on TV? That would be one duet even Gwyneth Paltrow would be jelly of!
