We eat every day, but this Saturday is special when it comes to all things tasty and yummy: it's Food Revolution Day! It's a day to "stand up for real food," like healthy food, food without all kinds of cray fillers and additives. Hot British chef Jamie Oliver is out there teaching us to eat better and spreading the word about this day. Why is it a concern of his?
His foundation created Food Revolution Day and with good reason. Diabetes is the fastest growing cause of death and 43 million children are currently obese. Jamie and the people behind the Food Revolution want to change these numbers. But don't worry, they're not the Health Food Police who are going to be hovering over you to make sure you don't eat that Twinkie. They're trying to educate and show that there are lots of delish, healthy foods out there.

And the Food Revolution has got some big names behind it. Cody Simpson, Jimmy Kimmel, Jennifer Aniston, Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher are all supporting it, and Ashton's definitely not punking you on this one. A few hundred food events are going to be up and running this Saturday, and you can either take part or make your own. Big steps, little steps -- the Food Revolution is encouraging all that. How about shopping at a farmer's market or get the school you go to or the company you work for to take a pledge to stand up for good food?
And where's Jamie Oliver for all this? He'll be at UCLA from 2-4 pm PT, showing people how to cook healthy foods. There will also be a Google + Hangout to interact with him at 8/7 PT. Bon appétit!
