Voting is empowering, we're told. The act gives us power. So just how do you plan to use your power this election year? It's time for a little political Show and Tell ...

As part of this year's election lead-up, MTV's  Power of 12 wants to see what issues are on your mind this election year. So we created a snazzy new tool called Power Pics. Upload a photo and fill in the caption "I will use my power ... " See what starts to surface in the zeitgeist.  You can upload photos all year until election day too. Like Twitter, we have a character limit: 50 characters max for your captions! Celebs like All-American Rejects, Fat Joe, The Wanted (YES!!!) and more are in too -- they've already uploaded their Power Pics. Guess which one wants a time machine to right wrongs and bet on sports games?! OK, the answer is in the photo above.

You can voice your strength in a general way, with a sort of, "I will use my power to create change."

Or you can get specific, in a "I will use my power to elect George Clooney as President and throw a pizza party for all! Ice cream, too!" kind of way.

Or somewhere in the middle: "I will use my power to start my own business."

" ... to protect the environment"

" ... to help future generations have access to higher education."

Match an eco-friendly caption with a pic of yourself out in nature or an education-specific message next to your stack of CliffNotes. Show the world why your voice matters. Check out the links below for more on Power of 12.
