When you think boy bands, what comes to mind? Screams, crazy crowds of teens, more screams, fainting, more screaming, and crazy good looks. MTV News' Battle Of The Boy Bands, which launched Monday with an array of bands from all generations, is down to 16 finalists. Just like in real life, One Direction and The Wanted are in; *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys are out. (But how?!) Here at MTV Act, we have veryyyy carefully put together our ultimate boy band. Said band is made up of boy band members who have not only made a tremendous impact in music history but also on the world.

Ready to here our 5 choices? *In Ryan Seacrest voice...* Dim the lights, here we go.

Introducing... MTV Act's ULTIMATE BOY BAND!

Let's begin with Justin Timberlake, the heartthrob, the Mickey Mouse Club-in', the cornrowed-out lead singer from the highly successful 90's band *NSYNC. Timberlake has made a tremendous impact in music even past his boy band years. More than that, though, JT is a charity pioneer who every year since 2008 hosts an annual golf fundraising event for Shriner's Hospital for Children raising millions! That alone = ultimate.

Next up, we have chosen Joe Jonas! 1/3 of the Jonas Brothers and icon of 13 year old's all over the world. When he isn't "Burnin' Up" the charts with his catchy tunes, the 22 year-old singer is giving back. From the It Gets Better campaign to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and even his collaboration with his Bros on their Change For The Children Foundation, this boybander definitely gots the voice, look AND heart.

Remember the Latin boy band Menudo? It's where Ricky Martin first started to shake his bon-bon and rose to fame! From platinum records to personal triumph, the former Menudo boy bander is one passionate, charitable, and giving guy. With The Ricky Martin Foundation, he is on a mission to help kids globally. From ending sex trafficking to providing healthcare, the impact he has worldwide is impressive!

A B C , Its easy as, 1 2 3 , as simple as, do re mi…. yep, you guessed it! Our fourth choice is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson! Do I even need to explain his impact? This icon/legend/everything who is missed tremendously has forever changed the path of music. Not only is his music timeless, the positive impact he has on our world will be forever remembered. The amount of charity work he did is simply mind blowing, from shining a light on Africa to urging us all to take care of our Earth, Michael was a game-changer.

John Lennon is our last choice, but certainly not least. The Beatles are iconic, and still to this day their music lives on. John Lennon was a long time advocate for the peace movement as well as an avid supporter of UNICEF. The "Imagine" singer's efforts live on to this day, too, as his wife Yoko Ono and the entertainment industry as a whole use this message, approach to world issues, and even his music to continue to make a difference.
