"It's G.I. Joe against Cobra the enemy, fighting to save the day! He never gives up, he's always there! Fighting for freedom over land and air!"
Sorry, if you really think you're going to be able to stop me from singing the "G.I. Joe" theme song all day long after the arrival of a brand new trailer late last night, you're horribly mistaken. That's right: there's an all-new "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" trailer today, clocking in at over two and a half minutes. Premiered by director Jon Chu at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the new "G.I. Joe" trailer is once again proving that despite what you thought of "Rise of Cobra," this Dwayne Johnson-starring sequel is not something to be ignored.
Check it out in full after the jump!
Not too shabby, right? Let's go over what we learned: Cobra is replacing G.I. Joe thanks to undercover terrorist Zartan posing as the President of the United States; Duke and the majority of the Joes are presumably killed in action with only Roadblock, Lady Jaye and Flint left to fight on; elsewhere, Snake-Eyes is still a badass and engaging in the most ninja battles of all time; and legendary Joe Colton loves himself some girl scout cookies.
Did we miss something? Probably. Either way, say it with us now: "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is going to kick ass over land and sea and air when it hits on June 29.
Now, where was I? Oh, that's right: "He'll never give up! He'll stay 'til the fight's won! G.I. Joe is theeeere!"
