Getting behind the wheel is an empowering thing, but sometimes the joy of driving can lead to distractions like texting, fiddling too much with the radio and talking on the phone. Victoria Justice is concerned about the number of fatal car crashes teens get into each year, and she wants to do something about it.
Victoria is one busy chick. Besides her recent anti-bullying work and prom donation, she's gotten involved with helping teens be safe drivers. Did you know car crashes are the top cause of death for teenagers? On a typical day, eleven teenagers die in car crashes, and the summer months are worse than the rest of the year.
Which brings us to Act Out Loud. Remember when we talked about these folks in January? Victoria wants you to make an Act Out Loud Yearbook, where you and your friends talk about how you're all going to be driving safely on the open road. This is going on till May 6. And like Act Out Loud's campaign in January, you can get some moolah while you're at it. If you make a yearbook with ten of your friends, you all get put in a contest where you can win $1,000 each. This is Act Out Loud's fifth year out there making a difference, and with a big star like Victoria helping it out, we see good things coming.
