At number 12, Brit songstress Ellie Goulding is rocking the MTV Music Meter…and rocking out for charity! Last week, the "Lights" singer (and Skrillex's lucky lady) performed at Elle Magazine's Women In Music event in Los Angeles, where VH1's Save The Music Foundation presented Hollywood High School's performing arts program with a check for $30,000. Get to know a little more about Ellie below!
+ She likes to get high. ("Runner's high," that is.)
In collaboration with Nike, Ellie released this video in which she explains her love for the natural high she gets from running. "It's better than any other high I've experienced," she says, encouraging viewers to get high the healthy way. I wonder if fellow Music Meter Maven The Weeknd would agree?
+ She runs LA.
Fresh after last year's hot performance at Coachella, Ellie changed into something a little more casual for She Runs LA – a 10K all-female charity run that aims to increase access to athletics for underprivileged children in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
+ She can't do laundry.
Phew! She's human! Ellie does her own laundry, but -- like many of us -- apparently not very well. She recently tweeted about accidentally shrinking her clothes in the dryer:
Currently pulling teeny tiny versions of all my clothes out of the dryer

I wonder if Ellie uses Jessica Alba's eco-friendly laundry detergent? I would encourage her to donate her shrunken clothes to a nearby homeless shelter; however, judging by the original size of her leotard, it would have to be shelter for dolls!
+ She's afraid of the dark.
Ellie's hit song "Lights" is all about her fear of the dark. I may or may not have a Winnie The Pooh illuminator in my room. ("Illuminator" sounds so much more grown up than "night light," don't ya think?) In my efforts to go greener than puke on Saint Patty's day, I recently purchased an LED night light illuminator. There are all sorts of eco-friendly options online, so that we can evade under-the-bed monsters and save the environment at the same time!
