"I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women," Bey said about her involvement. "Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be."
There are some serious stats out there when it comes to women's rights, like the fact that one in three women worldwide will be physically or sexually assaulted during her lifetime. But there is also change in the air, like the work being done with One Billion Rising, Malala's quest for universal education and the fact we have more female Senators than ever before.
"It's up to us to change the statistics for women around the world," Beyoncé said. "I'm honored to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies." AMEN, Bey!
