"Dancing With the Stars" recently announced its season 16 contestants, and…to be honest…I had to Google who most of them are. But that says more about what a reclusive loser I am than about how cool they are.

In fact, many members of the eclectic cast that includes an Olympic gymnast, a Disney actress, and a housewife turned entrepreneur share something great in common outside of the foxtrot: they like to give back.

Andy Dick may say a lot of things his mama wouldn't be proud of…but she started it when she married a guy whose last name was Dick! The controversial comedian recently put himself up for auction to raise funds for the Animal Advocacy Museum. Last fall, Zendaya visited a Los Angeles elementary school to give out backpacks filled with school supplies she collected at her 16th birthday party. Seeing as Zendaya's Disney series "Shake It Up" is all about dancing, she shouldn't have any trouble with the fancy footwork on DWTS.

+ D.L. Hughley Wants Everyone to Vote

Celebs often encourage their fans to vote, but they rarely call out fellow celebs who don't. During last year's election, actor and comedian D.L. Hughley scolded Lupe Fiaso for his decision not to vote. "They want to raise the age of social security from 65 to 68," he said during a radio interview. "Black men die at 67. Lupe Fiasco forgets that he's going to be an old man when he's looking for a social security check, and he dies right before he gets it."
