December 1 is World AIDS Day, and the documentary "I'm Positive," which chronicles the lives of three young people with HIV, will play on MTV at 7/6c. Lo Bosworth from "The Hills" created this doc (with Dr. Drew from "Teen Mom" producing!) and she's spreading the word on Twitter.
Lo Tweeted:
thrilled to announce my new project "Im Positive" w/ @mtv @drdrew @octagonent - to air on 12/1 @7pm World AIDS Day on.mtv.com/TMVwG4 :)

She shares an emotional clip from the documentary. In it, Stephanie, who is HIV positive, talks with her supportive mom. Her mom admits that when she learned about her daughter's diagnosis, she thought this meant death. But these days, people with HIV can live long, healthy lives. You can watch the clip below.

Stephanie, Kelly and Otis give us an inside look on what it's like going through life with HIV. The point of the documentary is to be real, to get past all the stereotypes and incorrect beliefs about HIV. Stephanie, Kelly and Otis were diagnosed positive with HIV, but they're also showing you can still put a positive spin on life, no matter what the circumstances.
Want to learn more ways to help stop the spread of HIV? For one thing, it's important to get yourself tested if you've ever done an act that could spread the virus (like unprotected sex or using unclean needles). Sometimes people don't realize they have HIV and continue to spread it. It's also important to use protection every time you have sex, if you're having sex. Things like the pill and the IUD protect against pregnancy, but condoms and female condoms protect against pregnancy and HIV. Learn more about Stephanie, Kelly and Otis on December 1, and help the efforts to end HIV and AIDS.
