Both Rihanna and Nicki Minaj released new music this week, but that's not all! In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and leading up to Thanksgiving, both ladies are doing what they can to help those in need. Whose back -- and album -- do you got this week: Rih, Nicki, or both?
+ Rihanna is "Unapologetically" Aiding in Disaster Relief
"Unapologetic" is Rihanna's seventh album in seven years! We're surprised she even has time to think about charity work, but she always somehow finds a way to give back. During a recent Facebook chat with Bravo's Andy Cohen, Rihanna announced her plans to donate $100,000 to the Food Bank for New York City to help with Hurricane Sandy relief. "It's really difficult to see something so tragic going on and not be able to do anything about it," she said. "It's really sad what happened here." Rihanna is also donating 1,000 sleeping bags to the New York Daily News' Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort, and on top of that, she turned her album listening party into a hurricane relief benefit -- asking all in attendance to bring donations for those hit hardest by the storm.
+ Nicki Minaj is "Re-Uping" Thanksgiving Day Dinner
Nicki Minaj's album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded -- The Re-Up" also dropped this week, and the reissue of "Roman Reloaded" has eight new songs on it! In spite of her busy recording, touring, and "American Idol" schedule, Nicki also finds time to give back to her community. She recently donated $15,000 to the Food Bank for New York City, and spent this Monday handing Thanksgiving turkeys out at her old NYC elementary school. Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got, she's still, she's still…oops! Wrong diva lyrics!
Are you a fan of Nicki's hands-on approach to charity or Rihanna's generous donations? One thing's for sure: they're both winning in the booty department! Take action for your fave below.
