The Olympics might have ended, but you can still catch the Paralympics, which stars athletes with disabilities who can show the world what they're made of. "Chuck" actor Zachary Levi, who often Tweeted about the 2012 London Olympics, is now watching and getting inspired by the Paralympics.
Zachary Tweeted (and Instagrammed):
Finally made it to the Paralympics. So incredibly inspiring. instagr.am/p/PH4TBPNprE/

Want some deets on the Paralympic Games? It's the second largest sporting event in the world (whooo!) and is not the same thing as the Special Olympics, though sometimes people mix them up. The Special Olympics are for athletes with intellectual disabilities, but the Paralympics are for athletes who fit under categories like amputee, visually impaired, spinal injuries and cerebral palsy.
In the Paralympics, athletes take part in sports like archery that are also in the Olympics, but they also have sports tailored to them. For instance, the Paralympics has Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Dance and Wheelchair Fencing, to name a few. Think a wheelchair makes someone less of an athlete? Oh, hell nah. And these athletes prove it.
So right now the Paralympics are happening, and, of course, they're happening in London. Like the Olympics, athletes from different countries take part, and they also can win medals for their outstanding sports skills. The Games will continue till September 9, so you still have time to check it out.
