Last night at the 2012 Video Music Awards (you guys were all watching, riiight?) Demi Lovato dazzled as a performer and presenter. Not only did she strut her stuff on stage in the preshow and help announce winners, she also brought home the coveted Moonman for Best Video With A Message!
After her exciting night of performing/announcing/winning and rubbing shoulders with the stars, Demi Tweeted her excitement with a pic of her giving us the peace sign:

What better than a peace sign for the winner of this category?!
It was an-all star competition for the Best Video With A Message win. Demi was up against Gym Class Heroes (featuring Ryan Tedder), Kelly Clarkson, K'NAAN (featuring Nelly Furtado), Lil Wayne and Rise Against. All of them had great songs and videos with strong messages. But in the end, you decided you wanted Demi to take home the prize for her video of "Skyscraper," which is about overcoming hard obstacles.
The prize was given to her right at the end of her preshow performance. No nervous waiting, no envelope opening. Someone just ran up on stage and gave it to her, and Demi had plenty to beam about for that. The night turned out to be proof that her winning song "Skyscraper" is right -- you can overcome obstacles. After struggling seriously with issues like bulimia and self-harm, Demi was back on top last night. We're glad you had an amazing night, Demi, 'cause you're an amazing person!
