Will.i.am's spiky red Louboutin loafers. Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship's slick skinny tie. Far East Movement's metallic swag. Who knew the warm-up for NYC's Fashion Week would be the Democratic National Convention?! It's a 3-day long political festival that not only attracts the party's most influential in power suits and pearls, but also tons of conscientious celebs rocking their election style. Let's not forget the stoked state delegates in crazy patriotic outfits and general party people just taking in the chaos. Time for a DNC fashion safari, y'all!

I was lucky enough to travel back to my hometown of Charlotte, NC to take in the Democratic Party's biggest runway show. My first task ? Seeking out #DNC2012's fiercest convention flair. I scoured the crazy clogged uptown streets where protesters with bullhorns mingled with hustlers selling Obama puppets and Biden buttons and snuck into VIP sections and exclusive hotel after-parties. I also roamed the halls of the Time Warner Arena where speeches from First Lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and our current POTUS Barack Obama attracted thousands of decked out Democratic stans.

Aight, here are the highlights from my election style quest -- who do y'all think rocked their political look best?!?!
