Here's a reason to look forward to the new school year: Taylor Swift might be playing at your campus! On top of that, she might be able to help music education at your school.
Taylor, who will soon be performing at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Tweeted:
I want to play a concert at your school this fall! Vote for your high school or college once a day through 9/23 now at TaylorSwiftonCampus.com

To take part, you've got to "Like" Taylor's official FB page through the Taylor Swift on Campus page, and that enables you to vote for what school you want. (If you've already "Liked" TayTay's page, that means you're already set to start voting.) You can vote for either a high school or a college, but it needs to be accredited, and, unfortunately, schools in Hawaii and Alaska aren't part of this contest. You can vote one time each day until September 23, when the contest ends.
The prizing gets even better! The top five schools (and, yeah, this includes the big winner of the concert) will each get $10,000 donated to their music department. You sure can understand why Taylor's passionate about music education, and she's putting on this contest in part to make sure music stays in schools!
The big top five winners will be announced in early October, and Taylor's planning to hold the concert at the top school about two weeks later. Now that's a great start to a new school year!
