For everyone out there still tired from staying up late to watch fireworks (come on, you know it's true) we've got some fun Tweets to perk you up.
Yeah, it was hard to find Tweets yesterday that weren't about the big ole holiday we had going on. So we put together some of our fave celeb Tweets to show how our A-listers were reacting to the day. Jennifer Lopez, for starters, sent out a really impassioned Tweet about standing up for yourself. Sing it, J. Lo!
Happy Independence Day#LOVE!RS Remember its in our being able to stand up for ourselves vs oppression that we become all we are meant to be.

Keri Hilson, who recently helped out the MTV Staying Alive Foundation by taking part in AIDS Walk, sent out a short and cute Tweet, plus a pic of some really yummy red, white and blue cupcakes. Unless you're too full from your barbecue from yesterday, those look really good:
Happy Burfday, America! twitter.com/KeriHilson/sta…

For another woman impassioned about the holiday, we go on over to Jordin Sparks, who spelled out what a lot of people were probably thinking:
Just thinking about our Independence & it's really incredible the amount of freedom we have! Don't take anything for granted! #Happy4th :)

Alicia Keys had a neat little historical tidbit that can bring even more meaning to July 4. See if your history teacher knows this important fact:
2day I learned that the slaves in NY were freed on July 4th... Wow! gives the day a whole other meaning! 2 finding ur #NewDay!

Finishing off our Fourth of July Tweet-fest is none other than America-lovin' Stephen Colbert, who used his usual in-your-face humor to show his festive spirits:
Happy 4th of July! As you take this day to honor America, ask yourself, "Why am I not honoring America on the other 364 days? Shame on me."

So how did you spend your Fourth of July? Resting? Fireworks? Celebration? Or . . . possibly . . . Tweeting about it?
