Say WHUT?! Lots of people were shocked to see Snooki leave "Dancing with the Stars" after all her fantastic dancing, but maybe this will open up Snooks' schedule and give her more time to help with Sandy relief.
After the "DWTS" news, Snooki and her dance partner Sasha Farber headed over to "Good Morning America" for an interview. While the bulk of the interview had to do with dancing, Snooki was also asked about her involvement with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Since this week is the one-year anniversary of when Sandy hit, it's especially on people's minds.
"We filmed 'Snooki and JWOWW' there [at the boardwalk]," Snooki said. "The boardwalk was great, it was back to normal. But then when we would drive a couple blocks down, houses were still in shambles. So there's still a lot of work to be done."
Snooki was a big part of MTV's "Restore the Shore" and has been an outspoken supporter of getting the East Coast back in shape. While no one can deny lots of progress has been made, you also can't deny there's a lot left to be done. Earlier this week MTV Act posted ways to give back to Sandy relief, so you can totally check that out for ideas. If you're living in the areas affected by Sandy and are able to volunteer, that would def be an awesome thing to do.
We're sorry about "Dancing With the Stars," Snooks, but we are stoked to see you continually repping your favorite causes!
