MTV has hooked up with One Billion Rising to stop violence against women, and as part of the MTV fam, Vinny Guadagnino has joined in on the campaign. Tomorrow people across the globe are going to rise for women's rights, and Vinny gave a Twitter shoutout to Royce White, who's also taking part in the big day.
Vinny Tweeted this vid of Royce, a power forward for the Houston Rockets:
Shout out to my boy @highway_30 and check this campaign he's doing to end violence against women! ow.ly/hCYZw

In the vid, Royce talks about why this campaign is so personal to him. "Myself having seen my mother be physically and verbally abused as a child, it's very important to me that awareness is raised and we start to make improvements in that area of America and around the world."
He talks about the scary stat that one in three women will be physically or sexually abused during her life. "One billion women violated is an atrocity," he says. "One billion women dancing is a revolution... On February 14th, I'll be dancing with a billion men and women to call for an end to this violence."
Vinny and Royce also show that One Billion Rising def isn't just a campaign for women to get involved in. It's important for men to get involved, too. Vinny's shown us his do-gooder spirit in the past by helping rebuild Staten Island after Hurricane Sandy and talking about his anxiety disorder, and we're thrilled to see Royce taking part in the 1BR campaign. Are you ready to join a dancing revolution to better the lives of women worldwide?
