With the 11-week shoot of Lars Von Trier's "Nymphomaniac" slated to begin tomorrow, two more actors have joined the cast of the upcoming erotic drama.
Both Jamie Bell and Connie Nielsen have joined the flick, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. There's no word yet on who they'll be playing, but we'd take a guess and say they're two people that the main character in the movie, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg, met during her "erotic life."
"Nymphomaniac" tells the story of a woman named Joe (Gainsboroug), a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who is found by an "old, charming bachelor" named Seligman (Stellan Skarsgard) after being beaten and left in a back alley. She then goes on to tell him the story of her life and erotic lifestyle from birth to age 50.
Also involved in the project are Shia LaBeouf, Nicolas Bro, Jesper Christensen, Shanti Roney, Jens Albinus and Severin von Hoensbroech. Both Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe have been rumored to be involved in the project, but we haven't seen any confirmation of that casting yet.
As you can probably tell from the synopsis, "Nymphomaniac" is planned to be rated a hard R. LaBeouf previously told us that the sex scenes in the flick will feature unsimulated sex, though the movie's producers have since come out and clarified that they'll be performed "with the help of body doubles and visual effects." Because of that, the plan is to shoot "Nymphomaniac" as a two-part film in both a hard-core and soft-core version. The entire project will be released at some point next year.
"[The movie] is what you think it is," LaBeouf told MTV News recently. "It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
He added, "It's going to be a wild movie."
