Chloë Grace Moretz won us over as the purple-haired assassin Hit-Girl in "Kick-Ass," and now she's proving she can hold her own IRL too.
Moretz rocked a Fendi dress last night at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. After the show, however, she noticed that Perez Hilton called her out on her outfit choice. Moretz kept her cool and showed her fans that Love is Louder than the pressure to please everyone.
The actress, who is set to play the lead in the "Carrie" remake out later this year, could have pulled a Carrie-at-the-prom and freaked out because someone criticized her dress. Instead, Moretz shrugged it off and responded "I loved it." It's hard enough being a 16-year-old without having bloggers criticize your every move, so we love that Chloë defended herself and her choices. What's even better is that Miley Cyrus immediately chimed in to support the teenager, tweeting "I LOVE you #16goingonFENDI #toofab."

Moretz's courage to speak out and defend what she loves reminds us of Demi Lovato's message that "Love is Louder than the pressure to be perfect." If you're facing pressure to look or act a certain way, take a cue from everyone's favorite "Kick-Ass" actress and just be yourself. As long as you love it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. As long as you're being true to yourself, you'll be golden.
And if you see a friend feeling the pressure from those around her, follow Miley's lead and have your friend's back. Remember, you don't owe it to anyone to be perfect; you just owe it to yourself to be happy.
