Taylor Swift cleaned up at last night's Billboard Music Awards, where she nabbed eight of the eleven awards for which she was nominated. When she took to the stage to accept the award for Artist of the Year, Swift took a moment to thank the people who had been there all along: her fans.
The singer acknowledged in her acceptance speech that her album Red is "kind of on the opposite ends of the intense/extreme emotional spectrum." She knows that while some of her songs feature themes of being head-over-heels in love the rest show the other side of that, which is being extremely heartbroken. Swift called those feelings the "crazy emotions," then thanked her fans for making her music the soundtrack to their crazy emotions. She ended the speech with a special shout out to her fans, calling them the "longest and best relationship I have ever had."
With all the success she's achieved over the past few years, Swift has picked up some tips on how to be confident, and she recently shared those with fans as well. The singer, who has a legitimately awesome shoe line with Keds, revealed in an interview that being confident in what she's wearing has so much to do with how she's carries herself. She said she remembers reading something once that said "if you aren't comfortable in a social situation the only one who will be able to tell is you if you carry yourself right."
