Christmas Eve is usually reserved for keeping a watchful eye over the chimney and spending time with families, but this year Demi Lovato also chose the day to honor the Sandy Hook Elementary School victims.
The singer recorded a soulful rendition of Alabama's "Angels Among Us" in tribute to the 26 victims of the Newtown shooting. Before and after the video, viewers are directed to learn more about We Are Newtown. We Are Newtown was established as a way for people to find fundraising opportunities to support the Newtown community. The site's newest initiative is to fund annual scholarships of $26,000 to honor the lives lost on December 14.
For more ways to help, you can follow Ann Curry's lead and commit to doing 26 Acts of Kindness in memory of those who lost their lives in the shooting -- share your experience by tweeting your act with the hashtag #26acts.
