FROM MTV NEWS
Last night, a group of journalists got a sneak preview of the first nine minutes of "Star Trek Into Darkness," the same look at the sequel that will play in front of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."
MTV News' very own Josh Horowitz was lucky enough to get invited to watch the preview before audiences can catch it starting December 14, and his report back from the screening should get any Trekkie, hardcore or casual, very excited to return to the Starship Enterprise.
Director J.J. Abrams was on hand to debut the footage, and he asked the journalists to not report back with a minute-by-minute replay of the footage, which most outlets have obeyed. They were allowed, however, to gush about the action sequence and some more references to "Wrath of Khan," which they absolutely did.
Head over to MTV News to check out Josh's full report back from the prologue screening of "Star Trek Into Darkness."
